RFP 2 Pathways

(OPEN) Pathyways Phase Artists --

Five art projects will be selected for this Pathways Phase.  The deadline to submit a proposal is May 10th, 2019 with an absolute project completion date of May 15th, 2020. The payment for each accepted project is $13,500, to be paid in 4 installments.  Initial payment can be invoiced upon contract approval. Lack of capital for up-front expenses should not be a barrier to application.

A Pathways project is distinguished from Research projects in that The Pathways Phase is about looking forward toward the future of East Lawrence.  Projects selected for Pathways, ideally, would be informed by projects and information in the Research Phase and model new strategies for inclusive co-design, equitable planning, and open communication. Please reference the Rebuilding East Ninth Together document for more detailed information about the parts of the project.

Please read the entire RFP plus Budget Excel  (for your convenience) with details on how to submit a proposal.

For reference in composing your proposal, you are encouraged to review feedback from Listening Sessions One, Two, and Three.  You may also contact any Resident Specialist to collect background or historical information.

Looking for guidance on mural and sculpture criteria about safety and durability standards? You can find relative information in the Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission handbook.

Support and mentorship is available.  Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns to Project Facilitator Mandy Enfield, or any team member.
